Hairys Mission
In the quiet halls of a hospital, where a child battles illness with more courage than any child should need, there’s a light that can break through the fear—Hairy. With every wag of his tail and every gentle nuzzle, Hairy brings laughter to a child who hasn’t smiled in days. In those precious moments, the pain eases, and the hospital room fills with something medicine can’t provide: joy, hope, and the feeling of being loved.
Hairy’s Dog House is a nationwide nonprofit organization and a registered 501(c)(3) EIN 33-3214715
Where do our donations go
- This is the general guidelines we follow for all donations.
-
- • Stuffed animal expenses, which represent the largest portion of the budget, as providing sensory companions to the children is at the heart of our mission. Every child who meets Hairy gets their own stuffed animals!
-
- 10 percent reserve fund
- • Licensing fee and transportation. This is a very small portion that is set aside to help cover a portion of the cost associated with the use of Hairy for charitable events. A $10,000 dontaion will impact 840 people at the cost of $11.90 per person, which is incredibly low for a huge impact made!
